Drive Safe this Christmas
As the holiday season approaches, Gerry is urging people in Bradford to ensure that they leave their cars at home if they plan to drink this Christmas.
People are killed and seriously injured every year because of drink driving on Yorkshire roads. That’s why Gerry is backing the Government’s THINK! Campaign, which is raising awareness of the devastating consequences of drink driving.

Shoppers, remember your rights this Christmas
Gerry today helped launched a campaign with Labour’s Consumer Minister Kevin Brennan to remind festive shoppers hitting the sales on the internet and the high street this Christmas in Bradford to remember their rights.

Gerry celebrates 5 Years of fox hunting ban
It is now 5 years since the Fox-Hunting Bill received Royal Assent, ending the cruel practice of hunting with dogs.
In that time, dozens of prosecutions have been brought under the Act, showing that this ban is making a real difference.

Gerry backs money skills training
Gerry recently joined in with pupils at Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College for a money management session. This is a financial literacy initiative set up by West Yorkshire Trading Standards and Barclays Bank to target 16 to 25 year olds and give them knowledge to make better financial choices.
